Whole-house softener + reverse osmosis · Greater Los Angeles

Every faucet in your home, finally worth drinking from.

LA tap water is legally "safe" — and still hard enough to scale your pipes, dry your skin, and carry contaminants far above independent health guidelines. One AquaClenSoft system fixes the shower, the kitchen, the laundry, and the glass on your nightstand. Installed in a day.

What's really coming out of your tap

"Meets legal standards" is not the same as healthy.

Your utility's report compares your water to the legal limit. Independent scientists compare it to what's actually safe. For Los Angeles, the gap is wide — and it's landing in your coffee, your pasta water, and your kids' bath.

Illustration: what's in a glass of tap water — arsenic, chromium-6, lead, PFOA, pesticides, chlorine, chloramine, fluoride, microplastics and more
Twenty-plus things that can ride along in an ordinary glass of tap water. A certified reverse osmosis tap reduces most of them to near zero.

And it's hard. Really hard.

Hardness is dissolved calcium and magnesium. Anything over 7 grains per gallon is "hard"; over 10.5 is "very hard." Every neighborhood LADWP serves sits in the hard-to-very-hard range — the reason your glassware spots, your water heater works overtime, and your skin never feels clean after a shower.

Scale builds up layer by layer — narrowing pipes, choking water heaters, and shedding rust and mineral flakes into the water you shower in. A softener stops the build-up on day one; it can't be undone by any filter at the tap.

One system. Two stages. Whole property.

Soften every drop. Purify the ones you drink.

A softener protects the house; reverse osmosis protects the people in it. We install both as one engineered system from a leading U.S. manufacturer — sized to your water, your plumbing, and your family.

Whole-House Softener + Carbon Filter

Installed where the water enters your home, so every shower, tap, and appliance gets soft, chlorine-free water.

  • Removes hardness minerals that scale pipes, water heaters, and fixtures
  • Catalytic carbon strips chlorine and chloramine — softer skin, shinier hair, no "pool" smell in the shower
  • Smart metered regeneration: uses salt and water only when needed
  • Sized for 1–2 bath homes up to large estates and multi-unit buildings

Reverse Osmosis Drinking System

Under the kitchen sink (and fridge line), a multi-stage RO membrane delivers bottled-quality water on tap — for drinking, cooking, coffee, baby formula, and pets.

  • Certified to reduce arsenic, chromium-6, nitrate, lead, fluoride, PFAS and 99%+ of dissolved solids
  • Optional remineralization stage for crisp, alkaline-balanced taste
  • Designer faucet in brushed nickel, matte black, or chrome
  • Replaces every plastic bottle and delivery jug — for pennies a gallon

What changes the first week

You'll feel it in the shower before you taste it in the kitchen.

Skin & hair

Soft, chlorine-free water rinses clean. Less dryness, less eczema flare-up, no more film on your skin or dull hair.

Appliances last longer

Scale is the #1 killer of water heaters, dishwashers, and tankless units. Soft water keeps them at factory efficiency.

Cleaner home, less cleaning

No white spots on glassware, no crust on faucets, no soap scum ring. Soap and detergent use drops by up to half.

Cooking & drinking

RO water makes better coffee, clearer ice, and pasta that tastes like pasta. It's also the water pediatricians prefer for formula.

For your family home

  • Sized to bathrooms, occupants, and measured hardness
  • Works with tankless heaters, solar hot water, and recirculation loops
  • Salt delivery & annual filter service available

Straight answers

Questions people ask before they say yes.

Is LA tap water actually unsafe to drink?

It meets every state and federal legal standard — LADWP tests it constantly. But legal limits are political and decades old; independent health guidelines from EWG are far stricter, and LA water exceeds them for arsenic, chromium-6, nitrate, uranium and several disinfection byproducts. Reverse osmosis is the most effective residential method for reducing all of them at the tap where you drink and cook.

Do I really need both a softener and RO?

They do different jobs. The softener protects your plumbing, appliances, skin and hair by removing hardness minerals everywhere in the house. RO removes dissolved contaminants at the drinking tap. A softener alone won't make water "purer"; RO alone won't protect your water heater. Together they cover the whole property.

Will softened water taste salty?

No. Ion-exchange adds a tiny amount of sodium proportional to hardness — typically less than a slice of bread per glass — and your drinking/cooking water comes from the RO tap, which removes it anyway. Potassium-based options are available on request.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your measured hardness, house size, and plumbing — which is exactly why we test first. Complete Home Bundles most often finance between $79 and $149 per month. You get an exact, written price at the end of your free test, and it's good for 30 days.

What maintenance is involved?

Add salt every 1–2 months (we can deliver), change the RO filters annually, and replace the RO membrane every 3–5 years. Our annual service plan handles all of it in one visit.

Do you serve my area?

We install across Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties — from the Valley and the Westside to Long Beach, Pasadena, and the South Bay. Enter your ZIP in the form and we'll confirm same-week availability.

Who does the installation?

We partner with licensed, insured California plumbers who install our systems every week. If you already have a plumber you trust, we'll supply the system with a complete installation spec and be on call for their questions — and your warranty stays fully intact.

Is a permit required in California?

Many jurisdictions require a simple plumbing permit for a point-of-entry softener; some Southern California cities have specific rules on self-regenerating softeners. Your installing plumber handles permitting, and we only supply code-compliant, high-efficiency systems that meet California requirements.
